Welcome

 

At first I was afraid when thought of being in Colombia because people told me that it was a dangerous country, but thanks God the city where we went was very peaceful. I went there with my three children and my husband. It was in February 2017. We went to Cartagena de Indias for eight days. We took two tours. One for the city, this one was very particular, since we did the tour on a tipical bus Colombians call "chiva", here we visited some historical places like Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, Santa Cruz de la Popa monastery, also we knew a famous square that is called "Zapatos viejos" where there is a big monumet of a huge pair of old shoes.  The other tour was to an Island called Barú and from that island we took a motorboat and sailed to Isla del Rosario where we visited the Oceanario, a marvellous place where you could see many sea animals. Long story short,  this has been the best holidays ever, because I relaxed a lot and everything was very quiet, and the architecture was just so gorgeous, it was like being in two cities at the same time. One side very Colonial and the other very modern. People were very kind. You could walk until night with no worries of something bad happening to you. It was really an awesome place to visit with my family, overall because children enjoyed a bounch.
